My work experience spans many sectors. The foundation of these experiences is the investigation, financing, acquisition, design, construction and sale of a variety of real estate projects. I have been directly involved with the Architectural, Geo-technical Civil Mechanical/Electrical, Structural and Building Envelope Engineering in projects listed below.
INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENTS
I have been responsible for 250,000 square feet of industrial development projects. This involved acquiring land, permits, design, construction and completion. These buildings were undertaken in British Columbia, Alberta, Washington and Oregon.
REAL ESTATE SALES
Over a four year period as a Real Estate Broker I have been responsible for an excess of 20 million dollars in sales translating to over 150 transactions of properties. I have strived to ensure the best possible results for my clients to achieve their goals in real estate. RESIDENTIAL PROJECT DEVELOPMENT
I have been responsible for the creation of 171 residential dwelling units. The scope of these projects ranged from one bedroom condominiums to 11,000 square foot mansions. This involved the acquisition of land, permits, design, construction and sale. These buildings were undertaken in British Columbia and Oregon. The largest of these residential projects involved a 78 unit condominium water front development in Nanaimo, British Columbia. It incorporated a 193 car parking garage used for the condos and the marina.
COMMERCIAL PROJECT DEVELOPMENT
I have created over 70,000 square feet of retail and commercial developments. Gained experience in commercial leasing, marketing, acquiring tenants, contract negotiations and completion of tenant improvements.
MARINA PROJECT DEVELOPMENT
Developed a 13,000 square foot commercial pier building and a 120 berth marina in Nanaimo. This included the approvals from civic, provincial and federal authorities. The submission and review by the Ministry of Environment and the Department of Fisheries for the replacement of fish habitat to compensate the environment for the construction of the marina.
PRODUCTION FACILITIES
Specifically, my expertise incorporates the development of three automated manufacturing production machines:
- A 250 feet long mirror manufacturing apparatus unique to Western Canada and the Northwest United States.
- A 150 foot long manufacturing machine for the production of Safety glass.A 150 foot long insulated glass manufacturing equipment for the production of hermetically sealed glass panels for the use in architectural applications.
